Parachutes

Customer Review: Another Import CD of "Parachutes" with Great Bonus Tracks
It's been 4+ years since the original release of Coldplay's debut album in the UK (the US release would follow in Nov. 2000), and as the phenom called Coldplay is getting bigger and bigger, it's now clear that "Parachutes" is a classic, in every sense of the word. By now, the original 10 tracks of the album all have become so instantly familiar, yet never tiresome. There is of course "Yellow", the US break-through single but for me probably the weakest track on the set. Check out instead "Shiver", "Don't Panic" (with the immortal line "We Live in a Beautiful World"), "Trouble" and Sparks", 4 other singles from the album (all of them still available on Amazon). This import version of "Parachutes" (14 tracks, 56 min.) comes with 4 additional tracks on a separate CD: "Sparks" in the album version (nothing new here), but then also "Careful Where You Stand" which is a b-side from the "Shiver" single, "Yellow" in an accoustic version that in my opinion is actually better than the original version, and the hauntingly beautiful "See You Soon", which originally appeared on the "Blue Room" EP. Both "Careful" and "See You Soon" are essentials in the Coldplay catalogue. We now await Coldplay's new album, which supposedly will come out in Spring 2005. Who knows whether that's gonna be any good, but for sure it's gonna be a monster, and Coldplay is well on its way to be the next U2. Meanwhile, enjoy the humble and intimate debut album which I dare say Chris and the boys will never surpass.
Customer Review: A Breath of fresh air
When I first heard "Yellow" by Coldplay, the thing that caught my attention was how smooth this band's sound was. Upon purchasing the album, I found that I couldn't take it out of my CD player for weeks. Coldplay is definitely a breath of fresh air in the music world. The album follows, almost methodically, a perfect pattern from song-to-song. If you're one who likes to listen to an album all the way through, this album gladly gives you the honor. I recommend it to anyone in need of comfort on a cloudy day.

The softwares are widely available from the music or book store in VCD or DVD format. Besides, you also can buy it from the internet as there are tons of guitar lesson software products available from various websites for you to choose.

I personally like to purchase the guitar lesson software from the internet simply because I can test and try the product to ensure that its worth the money Im paying for and the quality is up to my expectation. Searching and shopping for the guitar lesson software from the internet is not an easy task. There are too many products currently being sold in various websites. If you did not equip yourself with buying guides youll be lost in the jungles of information in the world wide web.

With this in mind, I have compile 6 simple guitar lesson software buying guides for you to use. These simple guides will help you to find the high quality software with excellence customer service at reasonable price.

(1) Professional website and reputable coach

First of all, look at the website and see if it is look neat and clean like it was designed by professional web designer. All these are very important to ensure that the guitar lesson software that you going to buy is developed by professional and reputable guitar coach.

(2) Excellence Customer Experience

How to verify of if the owner of the product is providing you with the excellence customer experience when shopping in the internet? What you can do is to send an email to the owner (or customer service representative) of the guitar lesson software product and see how long it takes to reply your email. The rule is, stay away from any website that take more than 24 hours to reply to your email. COLDPLAY POSTER OF T THE ROCK BAND CHRIS X RARE 24628I

Why is it that a premium value is placed on items that are original creations? Why first-time experiences are never forgotten? Our musical culture shares this same sentiment. In this digital world where imitation or replication is inexpensive, effortless, and instantaneous, it is a delight to rediscover such original favorites and re-live memories through music.

Thus, the creation of True Tones. True Tones are a compilation of ringtones as they were first heard by the public. Original voices. Original instruments. All ages. Across cultures.

Who does not enjoy hearing songs from Scooby-doo, The Simpsons, and of course the all-time favorite, Sesame Street? Definitely not just the kids, but also even those kids-at-heart like moms and dads. Teens meanwhile will of course prefer tunes from Beverly Hills, Buffy, Dawson's Creek and other popular TV series. For more mature audiences, True Tones offers themes from James Bond, Mission Impossible, Mac Gyver, X-Files and more.

If you're not much into movies or TV series, True Tones has tunes of various artists and genre for you, particularly pop, hiphop, and dance or techno music. True Tones features not only current hits but music of the past and top hits of tomorrow as well. Sing, rap and dance to these catchy beats. Yearning for something uncommon and distinct? Go Orientals, Arabic, or Tribal. Discover and appreciate their richness, diversity and exuberance. Listen to rarely heard musical instruments play energetic beats or intense melodies. Hear hums, chants and voices pouring out soulful lines.

In line with this diverse selection of Eastern culture, True Tones also features music from Bollywood, the popular Mumbai-based film industry in India. Listen to Lata Mangeshkar, Sonu Nigam, Kishore Kumar, and other known singer-actors and playback singers. True Tones' long list of Bollywood tunes reflect how thriving this culture is.

Going patriotic? Search for your national anthem. This list is great not only as a ringtone but also for collection purposes. Speaking of collection, True Tones also compiles Classicals - religious and otherwise; English and European.

Whatever your preferences or style, True Tones has it covered.

Don't Panic

Yet another exclusive single for 'Don't Panic'! This European edition includes 4 tracks, 'Don't Panic (Album Version)' + three tracks recorded Live in Copenhagen, 'Trouble', 'Shiver ' & 'Sparks'. Digipak. 2001 release.

If your young ballerina, tap dancer or hip-hop performer starts to express more anxiety than excitement there are ways to help.

Firstly, you may be hearing expressions of natural stage fright, which almost everyone feels when the reality of opening night strikes - even if just for a few moments.

If you have a child that worries, let her/his teacher know that he/she needs encouragement as well as corrections. Remind your child of compliments regarding their dancing you may have overheard from the studio or stage area.

Some dance teachers like to provide each student with the music of their dances, so that they can practice mentally. When they are resting with their sore feet up at home, they can visualize and feel themselves performing, applying their corrections over and over. The earlier they learn this the better. It is a method that actually helps develop neural pathways and better performance. This is a great way to increase confidence, without getting exhausted, or spraining and straining muscles.

Having a couple of soft ice packs handy at home eases aches and pains.

For older children, remind them about good nutrition. While a lot of sugar can be a tranquilizer, it also weakens the muscles. And for many children sugar is an irritant and increases nervousness.

Fruit is a wonderful source of the minerals that get lost in excessive perspiring....and that, along with good water, is something that students can have with them during long rehearsal days. Replacing minerals and staying hydrated (frequent sips, don't wait until your throat is dry) also helps prevent muscle spasms.

Backstage volunteers can help by remaining cheerful and calm no matter what happens. If a child freezes up in the wings, deep breathing can remedy it. Practicing deep breathing is a good idea during staging rehearsals, while kids are in the wings waiting for their entrances.

Speaking of waiting... modern theaters are often chilly with air conditioning. Your child will need leg warmers, even sweats, to keep their muscles warm during the staging rehearsals.

Having them ready with everything they will need in the dressing room, with some Band Aids, a sewing kit, extra hair pins and nets - anything that could be suddenly required - will reassure a worrier that all angles are covered. Aside from that, it is a good professional habit to ingrain in aspiring dancers.

Natural stage fright turns into exhaltation when the performances are done and well received - and hopefully that won't wear off for a while. And parent volunteers get to share that with the joy of seeing their child close a year of hard work at the barre by getting to dance for you!

Oral Fixation Tour (DVD/CD)

Customer Review: Fantastic
This DVD along with Live and Off the Record are simply fantastic. Shakira is the whole package from the voice of an Angel to a body...well, that's out of this world!! How could you not love this goddess!!!!!
Customer Review: Bought it for the price. Ended up liking it.
It was available for less than fifteen so I picked it up. I liked Shakira's first major Spanish album before her international success. I hadn't really listened to her newer stuff. When I put it in I was pleasantly surprised. The visuals are great and the sound is even better. To be honest I do skip a few songs whenever I watch it but I still consider it a good purchase for the price.

Centuries old Kerala Dance Forms are noted for the variety, youthfulness and charm. Some Kerala dance forms like Kathakali is world renowned, and a dance form Koodiyattom is recognized by UNESCO as human heritage art. All Kerala dance forms and dance forms of India are based on the instructions of 'NatyaSastra', the science of acting, which can be attributed to Sire Bharata who lived some 20 centuries ago. He described 'navarasangal' or the nine emotions viz. Sringaram (Love and seduction), Roudram (Aggressive), Hasyam (Humorous), Bhayanakam (Frightening), Veeram (Courage), Karuna (Compassion), Adbhutam (Wonder) and Shantam (Peace). Kerala dance forms seem to draw a narrow line between male and female performers.

The main dance forms of Kerala are:

Kathakali: This is divine dance form of Kerala, noted for the minute expression of emotions and colorful costumes. Kathakali is considered the art of Gods, and epical episodes are performed as a play. In earlier times it took many days for the completion of a play. Expression of emotions and narration is based on 'Mudras' or hand signals, and facial expression of navarasa, the nine emotions. Traditionally only men performed this Kerala dance form and they dressed like women for female characters usually Goddesses.

The costumes are heavy and it almost takes a full day to complete the make-up process. Characteristic masks, crowns and attire more than double the size of the performer.

Mohiniyattom: This Kerala dance form literally means the dance of an enchantress. Mohini means the women who tempts and Aattom means dance. Attired with white or ivory dress with golden borders, the dancer takes a majestic look. Mohiniyattom is noted for the slow movements and highly emotive eye gestures. The origin of Mohiniyattom is attributed to Lord Vishnu, who impersonated as Mohini (an enchanting woman) to seduce Asuras and take back Amrit, the medicine that gives immortality from them.

Mohiniyattom was performed in Kerala temples and palaces of Kerala.

Koothu (Chakyar Koothu): This Kerala dance form is performed only in selected place called Koothambalam associated with Kerala temples. Koothu in Malayalam means dance. Only members of the 'Chakyar' caste perform this.

Koodiyattam: This dance form of Kerala is the oldest of its kind and was evolved in the seventh century AD. It is an offering to deity. Mythological themes are played.

Theyyam: There are more than 300 variations for this Kerala dance form, which is characterized by the praising of Goddess for her victory over evil forces. Female roles are also handled by men, who wear colorful ritual attire for performing this temple dance form. The headgear and attire are both colorful and attractive.

Thiruvathira or ThiruvathiraKali. This is a dance performed by women on Thiruvathira day of the Malayalam month, Dhanu. Eight to 12 women of any age circles around a 'nilavilakku', a traditional oil lamp with many wicks, for Thiruvathira Dancing. It is believed to bring blessings to their family life.

The Myth Behind this unique Kerala Dance Form:
Rathi Devi, Goddess of love regained the life of Kamadeva, the God of Love who was charred to ashes by the fearsome anger of Lord Shiva. Rathi Devi successfully made a case with Lord Shiva to give Kamadeva his life. Thus ThiruvathiraKali represents the fidelity of marital relation and determination of female soul.

Oppana: This dance form is the peculiarity of Malabar Muslim weddings in Kerala. On the wedding day eve, friends and relatives (mainly young maidens) throng around the bride, clapping their hands and dancing to some nice music. The songs are usually called as Mappilappattu. Through the songs, the young women tease the bride and bless her for the happiness in her new life. Oppana is a performed as a stage item also.

Kolkali: This Kerala dance form belongs to the agrarian classes. Kolkali literally means playing with stick. Men bear short sticks on each hand. The dancers harmoniously move around in circles, form different combinations, dance and rhythmically strike two short sticks. This is an exclusive item for men.

Krishnanattom : Krishnanattom is almost an extinct dance form of Kerala. One dance is completed over eight days, and is characterized by rich colors, big masks, and thick facial make-ups. Krishanattom as the name suggests is the play on the life of Lord Sri Krishna. Krishnattom resembles Kathakali.

Don't Panic

You can banish bad breath naturally by using home remedies. Along side using herbs to get rid of bad breath, you need to continue to brush your teeth, gums and tongue after meals.

Bad breath can be quite embarrassing at any given point of time. Bad breath is caused by the presence of oral bacteria. However, there are other causes of bad breath too, like onions, garlic, smoking, dryness of the mouth, and gum disease. More people suffer from xerostomia, which is, basically, dryness in the mouth. It occurs during sleep or if you have been speaking for a longer time. The saliva is a special kind of mouth moisture that kills oral bacteria.

Get Rid of Bad Breath Naturally

Bad breath, in medical terms, is known as halitosis. You can banish bad breath naturally by using home remedies. They are effective and do not have any side effects. Along side using herbs to get rid of bad breath, you need to continue to brush your teeth, gums and tongue after meals.

Some of the useful herbs and tips on how to banish bad breath are:

1. Wash your mouth with water, sage leaves, mint leaves, and parsley, to rid yourself of common bad breath. They are effective reducers of bad breath.

2. Frankincense, also known as Boswellia carterii, is a herb that has antibacterial capabilities. It is mainly used for treatment of sores and toothaches.

3. Cardamom seeds add sweetness to your breath, and are widely used as a breath freshener.

4. Drinking tea made from Fenugreek seeds helps to remove bad breath.

5. Parsley, whose Latin name is Petroselinum sativum, is more than just a green vegetable. Chewing parsley will get you fresh breath naturally.

6. There are certain types of herbs and spices, which are natural breath enhancers and are used in cooking. Some of them are cloves, fennel, or anise seeds and you can carry them in a pouch and chew them after meals.

7. You can chew some fresh breath herbs like wintergreen, spearmint or peppermint. They have a mint flavor and are soothing to the throat.

8. Commiphora molmol, Latin for myrrh, is also used for bad breath. It can be taken to cure infections in the mouth, teeth, gums and throat. It is very effective for toothaches.

9. Even fruits, such as Guava will help you reduce the intensity of bad breath.

These are some of the natural ways to kill that embarrassing odor. If you are able to use them regularly, then you can rid yourself of bad breath.

Understand the causes of halitosis is the first step in fighting halitosis smartly. Visit our site for more free tips on how to cure bad breath.

Nueva York!

Children's favorite Dan Zanes follows his 2007 Grammy Award winning CD Catch That Train with a collaboration with Latino musician friends from New York. These family songs, all sung in Spanish, represent various styles including son jarocho, cumbia, aguinaldo, bailecito, nueva canción and merengue. Featured guests include: Lila Downs, Daphne Rubin-Vega, The Villa-Lobos brothers, Marc Ribot and Afro-Colombian roots ensemble La Cumbiamba Eneyé.
Customer Review: Fanaticos thinks it's fantastico!!
My son is a Dan Zanes groupie (he's been to six of his shows). He's been listening him since before his second birthday and has been looking foward to new music for quite some time. My son is half Cuban, so hearing DZ sing in Spanish is very significant for him. It's a welcome addition to our Dan Zanes and Friends collection. In short, this cd is like a big party for my three and a half year old, yet sophisticated and cool enough for his parents!!! ViVa Dan and Friends!!
Customer Review: More great music for EVERYONE (this time in Spanish)!
Dan Zanes and Friends latest release features all that you love about the band: wild, energetic collaborations and quieter songs with tremendous raw beauty. Esta vez, todas las canciones están en español! They've come a long way since "Malti." This collection of favorites from several Latin American countries is, as Dan says in his concerts, his pro-immigration CD. Thanks, Dan, for giving our kids a great time while provoking interest in Hispanic culture and vital social issues. Our faves: El Pescador, Son Borinqueno, Colas, Verde Luz, El Pijul,El Canario, Cuida El Agua, & Mi Luna. Yikes, that's a lot of favorites! If Pollito Chicken doesn't get you moving, see a doctor!

I met Richard Mekdeci, the heart and soul of Itoi Music, at the recent (August 2007) IONS (Institute of Noetic Sciences) Conference. In addition to Richard's considerable talents as an inspirational singer-songwriter and musician, Richard is a co-founder of I to i Ministries,, a non-profit dedicated to bringing positive spiritual music to people of all faith traditions. Part of what I to i Ministries and Richard have created is an opportunity to vote on your favorite songs, which can be accomplished online.

Their latest compilation CD, Imagination to Inspiration, is a truly wonder-filled chalice of heart-opening songs. Focused on the Global New Thought community, which includes Religious Science, Unity and affiliated churches, Imagination to Inspiration showcases 19 tracks by 18 different musicians. Every song features inspiring lyrics that invite us to co-create a world where everyone, everywhere feels safe, loved and celebrated. Having listened to this fabulous collection perhaps a dozen times, I can say that I have yet to get all the way through it without, sooner or later, tears of joy and thanksgiving streaming down my face.

Just a couple of my favorite songs on Imagination to Inspiration include the piano-based, county-tinged "Real Men Cry," by Karen Taylor Good. Giving men permission to feel their feelings is a passion of mine, and I love what Karen did with this track. "Do All You Can," by Devotion, is a delightfully intoxicating call to "be the change you wish to see."

Richard and I to i are performing miracles with truly inspired (in-spirited) music every day. Listening to this incredible collection is sure to put a smile on your face and a song in your heart. Kudos to Richard and his amazing team for Being the Change!

Rosetta Stone V3: Spanish (Latin America), Level 3

Why is Rosetta Stone the world's No. 1 language-learning software? Because it works.

Escape the endless tedium of translation, memorization, and grammar drills. Get the language you want, the skills you need and the success you deserve by learning a new language naturally--the same way you learned your first language.

The complete immersion environment puts your native language-learning skills to work, eliminating your dependence on tedious translation and rote memorization.

Images Intuition

In Rosetta Stone you learn the meaning of new language from clear, real-life images.

In this activity you learn colors.

You advance using language you've learned and clues from new images. That's your intuition at work.

Now that you know colors, you can easily grasp the meaning of the new words...

Interactivity Instruction

Throughout Rosetta Stone, you constantly interact with the program to confirm your intuition.

...and then check what you've learned.

From beginning to end you build systematically toward your language-learning goals, for the most effective and enjoyable instruction anywhere.

And finally, you get the fun of trying your new language in a real-life simulation. Speech recognition shows you exactly how you're doing.

You learned your first language without translation.
You learned your first language easily and naturally by connecting words to objects and events around you. With Rosetta Stone, learn a new language the same way: using native speakers and thousands of real-life images to help you think in the new language from the very beginning. Studies show that learning exclusively in the new language, without translation as a crutch, is crucial.

The exclusive Dynamic Immersion method reinforces your natural language-learning skills with award-winning instructional technology. Identify your learning goals, then choose customized courses that take you there.

The timeless immersion method, along with research-based techniques and new technologies, make Rosetta Stone the clear solution to your language-learning needs.

Understand everyday language.
Through Rosetta Stone's proficiency-based listening and reading activities, you'll learn quickly.

You'll build gradually from letters to words and sentences.

Engage in real-life conversations.
With Milestone activities, gain confidence using speech alone in simulated situations.

Retain what you learn.
The unique Adaptive Recall reinforces language so it sticks with you in the real world.
Customer Review: great system
I am now on the 3rd and final level of Rosetta Stone's Spanish (Latin America). I have been very impressed with the series. I do also use Pimsleur Spanish CDs in my car to supplement my learning. I'd recommend both to anyone interested in learning any language.
Customer Review: Installation challenges
This version is sold as Vista compatible, however installation was not straight forward with Vista Ultimate as operating system. Once installed there is an error message as the file framedynos.dll is not found. We needed to copy it into the program directory. The activation program does not work with Vista, we needed to disconnect the PC from the internet and activate via phone. Neither of these two problems was listed in the manual. The good thing was that the phone service was available even late in the night. Once these two hurdles were overcome the program seems to be working well.

Buena Vista Social Club

Ry Cooder's name has helped bring attention to this session, but it's the veteran Cuban son musicians who make this album really special. Reminiscent of Ellington in its scope and sense of hushed romanticism, Buena Vista Social Club is that rare meld of quietude and intensity; while the players sound laid-back, they're putting forth very alive music, a reminder that aging doesn't mean taking to bed. Barbarito Torres's laoud solo on "El Cuarto de Tula" is both more blinding and more tasteful than any guitar showcase on any recent rock album; a quote from "Stormy Weather" and some very distinct parallels to Hawaiian styles remind us of why it's called "world music." --Rickey Wright
Customer Review: Essential for any music collection
I am a fan of many types of music including jazz, rock, dance, blues, bluegrass, classical, world, etc. This is easily one of the top 5 albums ever created, regardless of genre. It is a magical culmination of music, musicians, and timing. If you listen to this (no really, close your eyes and really listen) and are not moved by it, you had better check to see that you still have a heartbeat!
Customer Review: Modern classic
I don't consider my house a home without this album. I seriously put it on repeat. It's one of my favorite to cook and clean to and just leave in the stereo when guests arrive. The DVD of the making of this CD provides a valuable context to what these musicians had been through and make the experience of the album that much more potent for me--I'd recommend the DVD, as well. Ry Cooder does a great job with both.
