Brothers & Sisters

Customer Review: A nice edition to your Coldplay library.
Well, here's Coldplay's first release or you. It is quite enjoyable and has much in common with their first album in way of lyrical themes and overall sound. I find it a bit curious that none of these songs found their way onto CP's first record. They would have been better served and more appreciated there, but just as well. These are very good songs at a very fair price. So enjoy!
Customer Review: Own it before its no longer available
Its short but ColdPlay rocks and I own them all.

What is the best source to download songs for your iPod? You might be asking this question again and again, wondering how people manage to fill up their little but powerful players with thousands of songs so easily. After all, not everyone can afford to buy expensive downloads from iTunes.

You might have tried transferring your favorite songs from CDs to your iPod. However, its capacity still allows tons of good music, and you don't want it to be wasted - after all, it is not what you got your wonderful gadget for.

So, where can you download songs for your iPod online, avoiding disadvantageous per-download fees, yet getting good quality? Usually, they are based on a long-term subscription (one-year or even a lifetime), which allows saving a hefty amount in the long run. Other advantages are present, too:

1. You don't feel the burden of law infringement. You know that each download you do is legal and you are not going to land up in a big trouble thanks to your passion for good music.

2. You get to enjoy the quality you deserve along with the vast selection of music (and often many other media for iPod). In other words, you can find and download practically anything you may ever fancy.

3. To download songs for your iPod as easy and fast as at any of those expensive sites claiming to be superior in everything. So, you don't have to compromise on the quality of services while paying less.

4. You are treated as a valued customer - excellent technical support and all the necessary tutorials are provided at any time. The site will also provide you with all software and applications you need to download songs for your iPod - and that is completely free of cost!

Oral Fixation Tour (DVD/CD)

Customer Review: Fantastic
This DVD along with Live and Off the Record are simply fantastic. Shakira is the whole package from the voice of an Angel to a body...well, that's out of this world!! How could you not love this goddess!!!!!
Customer Review: Bought it for the price. Ended up liking it.
It was available for less than fifteen so I picked it up. I liked Shakira's first major Spanish album before her international success. I hadn't really listened to her newer stuff. When I put it in I was pleasantly surprised. The visuals are great and the sound is even better. To be honest I do skip a few songs whenever I watch it but I still consider it a good purchase for the price.

Buena Vista Social Club

Ry Cooder's name has helped bring attention to this session, but it's the veteran Cuban son musicians who make this album really special. Reminiscent of Ellington in its scope and sense of hushed romanticism, Buena Vista Social Club is that rare meld of quietude and intensity; while the players sound laid-back, they're putting forth very alive music, a reminder that aging doesn't mean taking to bed. Barbarito Torres's laoud solo on "El Cuarto de Tula" is both more blinding and more tasteful than any guitar showcase on any recent rock album; a quote from "Stormy Weather" and some very distinct parallels to Hawaiian styles remind us of why it's called "world music." --Rickey Wright
Customer Review: Essential for any music collection
I am a fan of many types of music including jazz, rock, dance, blues, bluegrass, classical, world, etc. This is easily one of the top 5 albums ever created, regardless of genre. It is a magical culmination of music, musicians, and timing. If you listen to this (no really, close your eyes and really listen) and are not moved by it, you had better check to see that you still have a heartbeat!
Customer Review: Modern classic
I don't consider my house a home without this album. I seriously put it on repeat. It's one of my favorite to cook and clean to and just leave in the stereo when guests arrive. The DVD of the making of this CD provides a valuable context to what these musicians had been through and make the experience of the album that much more potent for me--I'd recommend the DVD, as well. Ry Cooder does a great job with both.

We all have special recollections from our childhoods of special times spent with our families - making forts, cooking together, playing board games. Some memories are quirky, some silly, and some sentimental. Although those moments are long past, the memories linger. And now that we're parents ourselves, we want to create the same kinds of memories for our kids.

Unfortunately, the easy and carefree days we remember from our own youth seem to have transformed into busy and chaotic ones for our children. Not only do kids today seem to be involved in more after-school activities like sports and music, even when everybody does happen to be home at the same time, the lure of the television, video games, iPods and computer command our attention. Needless to say, attempting to create special memories like the ones we had as kids seems futile.

But all hope is not lost! The world may indeed be faster-paced than it used to be, but the age of technology actually provides many fresh and exciting opportunities for memory-making moments. Maybe one of the following ideas will appeal to you and your kids:

1. Capture the Moment. Break out that digital camera and start snapping. Be silly, make faces or be serious. Once you've finished your photo session, upload the pictures to your computer and create a photo album, slideshow, or other inventive keepsake to look at time and time again.

2. Movie Making Moments. My kids love making movies with our video recorder and I have to say they do a great job behind and in front of the camera. Assign each person a role - writer, director, actors - or make every aspect a group effort. If you come up with something to really be proud of, why not post it on You-Tube or God-Tube to showcase your movie making talents to the world?

3. Let the games begin! So maybe monopoly just doesn't do it for your kids but a competitive game of Guitar Hero gets their adrenaline pumping. Show your kids you've still "got it" by jamming to those rock songs you used to love. Be sure to sing along, too - admit it...you still know every word to Joan Jett's, "I Love Rock 'n Roll."

No Guitar Hero? Any video game will do. To make it fair, go to the video store and rent a game no one has played before. Who will emerge the champion?

4. Have a Dance-Off. Pop in the latest CD and put on your dancing shoes. Show your kids the old style and let them demonstrate a move or two for you. Better yet, try your hand (make that, feet) at Dance, Dance Revolution. An added bonus - you'll be getting in shape while making those memories! See who can go the longest without collapsing on the couch.

5. Family Movie Night. Remember how much you looked forward to the Disney Sunday Night Movie? Now, with so many DVD options, movie night can be any night of the week. Don't forget to load up on popcorn, candy and soda of your choice. Hey - at least all that sugar and caffeine will keep you awake! Consider setting aside one movie night per month. Afterward, discuss your thoughts over old-fashioned ice cream sundaes. (Not everything has to include electronic devices.)

So the age of technology offers many opportunities for memory-making moments. Just remember, when it comes to family fun, one thing will never change. It's not so much what you do that counts, but only that you're doing it together.

For waaaay too long, plus size women were completely overlooked as a viable market for lingerie manufacturers. Sexy AND plus size bridal lingerie? No such product existed. What were they thinking? Never mind, I know what they were thinking, and so do you. I just wish I knew who to thank since now plus size brides can be seen as the sexy goddesses they are.

I'm thrilled for all the current and future plus size brides who can wear sexy lingerie on their honeymoon, but I have to admit I can't help but be a little bitter that it came far too late to benefit me. But the good news is, it's not too late for you!

In decades past, the hardest thing about plus size lingerie was finding any. There are now so many choices in sexy, exotic and erotic plus size bridal lingerie, the hardest part is limiting your selections to what your budget will allow! Just don't be fooled by those "one size fits all" labels. They lie.

The second best thing that's come along for plus size women is the good ol' Internet. By expanding our shopping choices to global-wide, we're able to find a wide variety of plus size clothes, including sexy plus size bridal lingerie.

Your bridal lingerie consists of not only what you'll wear on the honeymoon, but also what you'll wear beneath your wedding gown on the day of the wedding. For your wedding day lingerie you may want to choose comfort over style. You don't want to go through the whole wedding feeling pinched or uncomfortable. You might consider a lacy camisole with a garter belt and stockings for a touch of style without having to give up comfort.

You'll probably want to purchase your wedding day lingerie well in advance so you can see how they feel under your wedding dress. Be sure your bra is supportive and comfortable, and allows for freedom of movement. (Remember you'll be dancing and hugging and throwing the bouquet!)

Your choices online for sexy plus size bridal lingerie are virtually endless. Do you want elegant and demure? What about something racy? How about downright sexy and hot? Or maybe you feel a little naughty and nasty? You can be anything you want to be, and you can find sexy plus size lingerie to fit every occasion with a quick Google search.

Popular items in sexy plus size bridal lingerie include Rumba panties with a matching lacy chemise, lace body stockings and perhaps the most favorite, the baby doll. Many baby dolls come with a built-in bra to shape and support and the saucy little skirt gently flows around mid thigh. A scoop neck or V-neckline adds to the appeal, as do layers of feathers or ruffles. Plus size women look great in baby dolls.

Whatever your mood, whatever your desire, and finally at last, whatever your size - you can find sexy, seductive plus size bridal lingerie. And you can find it online, where you can browse to your heart's content in the comfort of your own home. Many brides do almost all their wedding shopping online and their numbers are rising every year.

The most important thing in choosing sexy plus size bridal lingerie is that you feel good about what you're wearing. You look even better to him when you're pleased with yourself and feel comfortable and happy with the way you look.

In addition to new and used plus size wedding dresses Curvy Brides offers plus size brides a wide variety of sexy lingerie for their wedding, honeymoon and beyond. If you're looking for silky and seductive plus size lingerie, or feeling a bit naughty and want to release the curvaceous temptress inside you, Curvy Brides is your own personal catalog for sexy plus size bridal lingerie as well as many of your other wedding needs. Come browse all the plus size wedding pretties at Curvy Brides, created by a plus size bride especially for plus size brides.

Cuba is famous for its beaches. People come from around the world to recline in the glorious sunshine and to venture out toward the idyllic turquoise oceans. Of course the biggest beach resort of the entire island is Varadero. Holiday makers visit this particular resort to enjoy more than 20 kilometres of fine white sands and crystal clear water. But beyond these 20 kilometres of beach, there's a whole host of glorious things to see and do for those who want more variety. The city stretches over 14.4 square kilometers, giving us plenty of things to do in Varadero ...

Natural Beauty

Okay, the beach itself is stunning - but this is actually just scratching the surface of the region's aesthetic charms. Indeed, if you do ignore everything but the beach, then you're missing beauty right under your nose; or rather, under the water. Scuba diving is magnificent in Cuba thanks to the island's splendid geographical position, its continental shelf, clear warm waters and vast marine life. With such a large beach, Varadero has 32 established diving sites catering to divers of all abilities and experience, so even if you have never tried it before, you have no excuse not to try donning a wetsuit and exploring the underwater paradise. Most hotels offer diving courses for absolute beginners and a vast array of choice for the more experienced: night dives, cave dives or open sea diving - the choice really is yours! As things to do in Varadero go, scuba diving should be high on your list - it really is an experience!

Parque Reiro Josone is another spot that's worth seeing - and you won't need a wetsuit for this one. The park has been available to visit since 1942 and is a perfect spot to be one with nature on your holiday in Varadero: beautiful trees, a tropical lake and a wide variety of fascinating avian life make this a great spot to visit, and the four restaurants and entertainment facilities means that this is the kind of place you can visit time and time again - and always find something new.

Varadero's caves are worth visiting as well - some can only be visited via the water, but others can be easily visited by those who wish to stay on land - some have even become night clubs, while others remain as great archeological value.

Culture

In terms of cultural entertainment, there are many things to do in Varadero to allow you to get a handle on the city's history and 'feel'. Santa Elvira Church is a particularly interesting structure. Built in 1938, it's an interesting throw-back to life before the revolution, and a fascinating architectural creation in its own rights with an unusual structure of stone and wood, with a suspended half arch.

The Museo Municipal is a good place to start if you want to get a feel of the history of Varadero before mass tourism through the revolution and beyond. If however it's the art that's of greater interest, then the art gallery is a must, featuring paintings, engravings, sculptures and photos by classic Cuba artists, as well as more contemporary figures, including Zaida del Rio and Manuel Mendive.

The Casa de la Cultura is a must visit for culture vultures, home as it is to Los Munequitos de Matanzaz a rumba group of internationally renowned musicians. The area is home to cultural events including poetry readings, music recitals and local trovadores entertaining the Varadero holiday makers and locals.

The Charm of the Market

The highlight for many Varadero holiday makers when they visit the town is undoubtedly the market. This isn't some kind of little market, with stalls filling the area selling everything from cigars, souvenirs, wooden carvings, Cuban figurines, musical instruments and leather works. You just can't beat the big market atmosphere, and even if you're just here to browse, you're virtually guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face.

Although it's not the most varied of resorts, there is a lot more to a holiday in Varadero than just lounging on the magnificent beach. Though that said, you would be missing out to ignore the sands completely - just try not to get sucked in if you want to enjoy the other varied things to do in Varadero!

Emma Lelliott is the general manager of Captivating Cuba, an independent Cuba holiday specialist. With offices in Havana and the UK, Captivating Cuba can help you tailor-make the perfect holidays to Varadero.

One of the more fascinating styles is the Turkish belly dance. The dance music is characterized by the sounds of the oboe, clarinet, kanoon, finger cymbals and hand drums. Turkish dance costumes are among the more risqu of the cabaret styles, baring plenty of leg and cleavage. Similar to Greek and Armenian it is usually faster than Egyptian dance music, and often there are less rhythmic changes. Turkish belly dancers spread their traditional dance around the wider world, and enchanted their audiences when they appeared on dance stages in countries from America to Argentina; from the Arabian Peninsula to England and from Japan to Italy.

Turkish belly dance has been at least 500 years of history. The most important influence on it came from the Roma (Gypsies) people of Turkey. Today this style of dancing often struggles against the morals of a Muslim country but is generally still accepted because of its deep history. As artists they dare to see how far they can take sensuality into sexuality. The costumes consist of a bra, a belt and a skirt. Among current designs, hip accentuation's are built directly onto the skirt in lieu of a belt.

Turkish belly dance is something that is quite closely related to that of the cabaret style and is recognizable in that reference. The dresses that are usually used in this form of dance are quite embellished and adorned with different sorts of glittering objects such as jewels and beads. Turkish Belly dance is a dance style with a long and significant history in Turkey. It has exerted a considerable influence on the development of modern American cabaret style belly dance. A good description is that it is very earthy, and tends to have more weighted and even suggestive moves.

As you become aware of the many facets of oriental dance, keep in mind that there is no specific style considered right, or correct. All of the various styles are beautiful, inspirational and can elevate our thinking and even ourselves to a higher level. As you learn to dance it is up to you to develop the style, the expression and moves that most reflect your inner being. The only way to know this is to expose yourself to as many styles as you can. If you make sure you study with the best teachers and use the best tools you will find that your expression of this wonderful dance will shine through and entice those who have come to watch you dance.

Rubi

Rubi is an ambitious young woman, who all her life wanted to become rich. She studies in a private university, where she meets sweet and rich Maribel, and becomes her friend. Rubi is the only friend of Maribel, who doesn't know that she wants to be her friend only because of her money. When Hector, a young and handsome architect with whom Maribel had been chatting on the Internet arrives at Mexico, Rubi meets his friend, Alejandro. Alejandro and Rubi immediately fall in love. Hector proposes to Maribel and she accepts. When Rubi finds out that Alejandro isn't rich as she thought, she decides to break up with him and do everything in order to marry rich Hector, and finally get the life she always dreamed of.
Customer Review: The edition is good, but the music is so boring.
The soap opera Rubi started so good, it was so quickly that in every episode you can see something exciting, unfortunately, with the huge succes of the soap opera Televisa ordered more episodes and there's when we had the problem, When we start to see the beginning of the end: the illness of Hector (then alejandro operates him but because of Rubi he let him die accidentaly). Instead of that, magically Hector gets healed, he gets a lover (Yadhira Carrillo), Rubi meet the Count (Manuel Landeta) and Alejandro have a lot of trouble in the hospital because of some fraudulent things. That part of the story is not as cool as the first episodes, they cut A LOT of secondary characters that actually their story wasn't interesting. That's why i think is a very good edition.... EXCEPT: For the music, the main theme (La descarada) was so goood, this new one is pathetic, and the score was also incredible, but especially the song from the dramatic moments. (In the special episode you can hear it in some of the dramatic moments, for example Sonia's death, when Rubi runs to the beach with her wedding dress, when Maribel watch Rubi at the airport with Hector, etc, etc. Instead of that good song they use a very boring theme, it doesn't transmitt the same emotion and tension. Hope we can see a new version of the dvd but with the real music and with more scenes and extras. By the way the extras are very cool, the finale of the original series in black and white, the special of rubi's niece, the press conference of Rubi, the only missed the original trailers (THEY'RE SO COOL, check them out on youtube)
Customer Review: rubi 2
i'm wondering if they ever going to do part 2 where her neice is twice as free spirited and dangerous lol

If you are sick and tired of listening to the same songs on your ipod, then I've got something important to share with you.

You see, if you know where to go, then you'll be able to put anything and everything on your ipod right now. Imagine having the latest stuff to download too. Like all the music you want. All the movies. All the games. Everything.

Well, now you can.

Now, the concern for most iPod owners is where to get free ipod downloads. There are 3 main ways you can get more out of your ipod. One way offers a monthly charge to a download site. Another will charge by song or album. And the other way is to offer a one-time lifetime membership charge.

There are very few places where you can get free iPod downloads .

That's why it is best to stay far from free sites. You see, free ipod downloads sites normally have public domain stuff. And thats why they are free. But if you want to get more out of your Ipod, then you won't want public domain downloads.

There are a few ways you can still get music, if you decide that a free site is not worth taking the chance on.

The other way to get ipod downloads is to use a site like Itunes to pay by song or my album.

But if you are serious about maxing out your ipod, then you'll want to use something else. You see, if you want to download the latest stuff whenever you want, these pay per download sites, can ge a little costly. Some sites offer lower prices per downloads, but they still add up.

The best type of site for serius ipod owners are one off memberships. This is the best as you can download as much as you want when you want, without having to pay any more. And the best thing is that they sometimes have downloads well before they are released.

Anyway, if you don't want to spend a fortune on ipod downloads, then you'll want to have a look at a one off membership.

Cory Matsons recommends Ipod Downloads for free ipod downloads. For more information on how to get free ipod downloads then this will help.

Eclipse Series 6 - Carlos Saura's Flamenco Trilogy (Blood Wedding / Carmen / El Amor Brujo) (Criterion Collection)

One of Spanish cinema's great auteurs, Carlos Saura brought international audiences closer to the art of his country's dance than any other filmmaker, before or since. In his Flamenco Trilogy-Blood Wedding, Carmen, and El amor brujo-Saura merged his passion for music with his ongoing exploration of Spanish national identity. All starring and choreographed by legendary dancer Antonio Gades, the films feature thrilling physicality and electrifying cinematography and editing-colorful paeans to bodies in motion as well as to the cinema that so eloquently, and artfully, captured them.
Customer Review: Fantastico!
If you want a sweet taste of flamenco - this is a perfect set. Starting w/Blood Wedding - progressing to Carmen - and finishing w/El Amor Brujo. Fantastico!
Customer Review: Brilliance
My love of flamenco music was born when I heard Carlos Montaya playing when I was about 25 years old. I am now 73 years old and when I hear flamenco it is through my heart not my ears, I watched this dvd Eclipse Series 6 Carlos Saura's Flamenco on my 107 " plasm tv, it was breathtaking, such brilliance and beauty, watching it over and over again it moves me every time.

X&Y

Very Limited Edition. Includes a Bonus Six Track Disc and Different Artwork.
Customer Review: Well, Well. Yet another overpriced piece of work...
And I mean this literally. Should you own this? No. Should you get the ORIGINAL? The MORE AFFORDABLE version, with no lyrics and missing a bonus Japanese track, How You See The World? YES, MY *GOD* YES!! Cool, this version has an added song and the lyrics...(WHO DOESN'T LOVE READING ALONG?!?!?!). But at a price this over-bloated, PLEASE DON'T BOTHER!!!! No human with decent sense would pay for this!!!! Half of the tracks are upbeat which I prefer Coldplay's music to portray, and after studying this album's nooks and crannies, I found just TWO duds. b^_^b White Shadows, Fix You, Twisted Logic, Square One, Low, Speed Of Sound, Talk & X&Y are amongst the great tracks. But then you have filler tracks such as What If and Swallowed In The Sea. The rest of the CD is full of decent if just a tad forgetful tracks; A Message, The Hardest Part & Till Kingdom Come definitely fill my mind first. I was SO looking forward to this release because I have their 2 previous albums and I highly enjoyed tracks such as In My Place, Clocks and Daylight, for their uplifting, positive demeanor. Coldplay has an interesting lyric here and there, and my initial thoughts told me that it wasn't enough. White Shadows was a low point for me, but thank goodness I seen a quirky but awesome video to accompany the song, and I was totally, totally hooked! With that said, I can't wait to experience their new sound in mid-late 2008 or early 2009: I bet they release it around then and it'd be best if it were better than this one! Or at least here's to hoping... *Cheers* Keep it comin', Coldplay! You have fans other than the emotional girls that follow you. Some men, of all different walks of life appreciate your sensitive side too! ^_^ Cover Art: B- Inside Art: A- Songwriting: B+ Vocals: C+ Vocal Emotion: B+ Vocal Acrobatics: F+ Length: A+ 59.75/13 = 3.98076923076923 3.98 stars. Customer Review: Well, I can rate the first 13 tracks...
I don't have this import version, but I WOULD get it if it were 25 bucks or less. 46 bucks + is super-ridiculous and anyone who shells out that much is either: 1. Stupidly rich 2. Rich and stupid 3. Just plain rich 4. a HUGE, HUGE fan 5. All of the above No human with decent sense would pay for this otherwise. I fall into that category and none of the above ones (*LOL*!!). Here goes, Half of the tracks are upbeat which I prefer Coldplay's music to portray, and after studying this album's nooks and crannies, I found just TWO duds. b^_^b White Shadows, Fix You, Twisted Logic, Square One, Low, Speed Of Sound, Talk & X&Y are amongst the great tracks. Overall: B- Favorite tracks, in order: White Shadows, Fix You, Twisted Logic... P.S. When is Amazon going to get with the times and let us rate within .5 increments!? P.S. This HAS to be better than the all-Spanish review, right?

One of the things people think of with Italy is it's coffee. In fact Italian roast coffee is perfect for bringing a touch of Europe to your home. Can 50 million plus Italians all be wrong? Well, with Italian roast you can't go wrong either.

Generally speaking, Italian Roast coffee is darker in colour than most roasted blends of coffee and consequently develops an intense, full-bodied flavour from the blend of Pacific and Latin American origins. It seems to be richer and fuller and has a bit of a bite to it. The aroma is balanced and complex.

Why the name Italian Roast when coffee comes from Brazil?

As is known, most of the coffee we drink today originates from Latin America or the Pacific, so where does the name Italian Roast come from?

Well, the name Italian Roast derives from the dark roasted blend style that is commonly used in Italy. And do the Italians know a thing or two about their coffee? I think they do. Naturally it goes without saying, if you grind your own, Italian roast coffee is perfect for making authentic espresso. If served in Illy Collection cups, for instance, you cant go wrong.

There is espresso coffee and espresso coffee, but with an Italian roast blend the difference is clear

In fact, most of today's household names, such as Gaggia, Lavazza and Illy are Italian family companies that have conquered the world with their particular blends of coffee, targeted marketing and wonderful coffee making machines. Gaggia, for instance started business in the 1940's, not so long ago, but they are recognised as a well respected coffee-company in most of the world.

Similar with Lavazza, started in Turin, not only famous for its coffee, but also a prestigious calendar, similar to that of Pirelli. And what espresso lover isn't familiar with the Illy Collection; neat espresso cups with exclusive designs produced in limited numbers.

Do you think all this could have been possible without a deep knowledge and respect for coffee? Italian roast must deserve some of the success of these companies.
